I finally gave in and bought a majicJack. Has anyone else? I've had mine for about two weeks. I'm sold on it.

Their claims are true. Forty bucks for the first year, twenty bucks per year thereafter. No monthly bills. Unlimited calling throughout the continental USA and Canada.

IMHO, I think they make perfect graduation gifts, birthday presents, and wedding presents -- not to mention for our daughters who just can't stay off the home phone!

Each kid in your family can have their own telephone number, for life. And it is portable. You can take it with you on vacation or wherever (not us, our kids.)

For young marrieds, or college kids just starting out in this cold cruel world it's nice to see something cheaper than CHEAP! The only hitch is that you must have a broadband connection (computer and Cox cable for those of us who are less than a techno-weirdo).

PC Magazine named it the best new invention of the year! (which year, I don't know) I do know that it's the best thing I've seen since I bought my first transistor radio way back in 1960! Check it out. It will surprise you, too.

MajicJack doesn't charge you until you have had it for 30 days! They don't have all the bugs out yet, can't use it for faxes, for example. But they're working on it. Call me or e-mail me if you have any questions -- and NO! I don't get any points or bucks or anything else if you sign up because of me. They'll never know. Neither will I, unless you tell me. It's so good and so cheap that majicJack knows that word of mouth will do a great deal of their advertising!
