Storing Your Multiple Passwords
Gary North
Printer-Friendly Format

April 11, 2009

If you have multiple user names and/or passwords for multiple sites, here is a free program for you:

http://keepass.info/download.html

Another is eWallet: for iPhone ($20). It's here:

http://www.iliumsoft.com/site/ew/ewallet.php

A free on-line program is here:

https://lastpass.com

You have to trust that they won't steal your data. The program has good reviews. It's user-friendly. Of course, this could be a disadvantage. My techie son would not register on-line. Here are two favorable reviews:

Here is a very good screencast video on its benefits:

This way, you keep track of multiple passwords. It is easy to forget which password and which ID is used on which site.

This procedure is simple. Stop trying to remember who you are, site by site. Keep this information on your laptop (encrypted).
