Broken Links in in a Chain Letter on Illegal Immigration. On This Divisive Issue, Trust No One. Verify Everything.
July 10, 2009 I received the following anonymous chain letter on illegal immigration. It contained links to click. I clicked them. The letter is an indirect apology for the Iraq war. This letter is all over the Web. My comments are in bold. You think the war in Iraq is costing us too much? Read this: 1. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year by state governments. Verify at: http://tinyurl.com/zob77 Then get rid of the welfare programs. Simple. The courts require welfare based on residence: compulsory education, access to hospitals' emergency rooms for free. Legal status has nothing to do with it. The courts run this country. We do things their way or we go to jail or are fined. Do it their way: eliminate the government programs that dole out the money. For a defense of this idea, click here. (See if my link works.) See above. See above. See above. Also, dead link: no proof. See above. Also, dead link: no proof. Close all prisons. Force convicted criminals to make double restitution to their victims, which is the biblical requirement (Exodus 22:4). If they refuse to pay by running away, sell them into slavery and use the money to repay victims. Too harsh? Not according to the United States Constitution (13th amendment). Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction. Give a man a way to restore what he stole. Benefit the victims. Don't spend $24,000 a year in taxes per criminal to be trained by other criminals. Also, dead link: no proof. See above. Also, dead link: no proof. See above. Also, dead link: no proof. This means consumers get a better deal. The whole idea of consumer sovereignty is to get better prices. Also, dead link: no proof. So, should we deport all non-whites? Also, dead link: no proof. http://tinyurl.com/t9sht%3E"_blank? [clearly a dead link: tinyurl has no such numbers] http://tinyurl.com/t9sht%3E" target=_blank rel=nofollow> [clearly a dead link: tinyurl has no such numbers] 12. The National policy Institute, estimated that the total cost of mass deportation would be between $206 and $230 billion or an average cost of between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five year period.' Verify at: http://www.nationalpolicyinstitute.org/PDF/deportation.PDF Conclusion: if we abolished the welfare state, it would be cheaper to let them stay. How could the government locate and deport 20 to 30 million illegal immigrants? At what cost per deportee? Or how about a national identification system, coordinated by the Department of Homeland Security, that is tied to every state-issued driver's license? That's mandated for December 31, 2009. Also, dead link: no proof. This lowers the rate of price inflation in the U.S. The dollars are sent abroad and do not return. This means we get what in effect is free labor. Also, the source is Frosty Wooldridge, the population control journalist, who cites as evidence of the population crisis Martin Luther King. I do not regard Rev. King as an expert on this issue. He includes as evidence most of the links in this letter that proved to be dead. Dead link: no proof. The total cost is a whopping $ 338.3 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR AND IF YOU'RE LIKE ME HAVING TROUBLE UNDERSTANDING THIS AMOUNT OF MONEY; IT IS $338,300,000,000.00 WHICH WOULD BE ENOUGH TO STIMULATE THE ECONOMY FOR THE CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY. We don't need a government-funded stimulus. We need the opposite: the elimination of the tax-funded wealth-redistribution schemes known as welfare. People are trusting. Some stranger sends a letter like this, brags about the documentation, and recipients trust it. If they clicked the links, they would know the letter is either a fake or poorly researched.
