ReQall for Free Reminders -- Dial2Do, Too
Gary North
Nov. 21, 2009 ReQall is a free service that lets you send yourself
email reminders that you don't have to type or email. You
also don't use a calendar program. You call a toll-free
number, tell the computer what you don't want to forget, and hang up. You have 30 seconds. The software at the other end converts your message
into text. Then it sends it to your email address. They offer a premium service. They are good
marketers. They want to make us dependent on the free
service. Then they hope 20% will upgrade. David Pogue has produced a clever 3-minute video on
this service. He is the consumers' technology writer with
the New York Times. He is an amusing fellow who makes
technology simpler to understand. I really like the video. It's low budget. Anyway, it
looks like a low-budget video. It's silly. But it gets
the benefit across. Take a look. http://tinyurl.com/c2kymw Don't use this service while you're driving. Pull over to the
side of the road. (Also, eat plenty of green, leafy
vegetables, stop smoking, and lose 10% of your weight . . .
and keep it off.) Interested? Go here: http://reqall.comA subscriber adds: ReQall works, and so does Dial2Do which provides integration with Evernote and many other services. D2D is my pick, after having tried ReQall myself. www.dial2do.com
