Evernote is a no-cost cloud-based note-taking and note-retrieval system. It lets you store text, images, Web pages, and anything your cell phone can photograph.
You add keywords for future retrieval. There will also be all of the words in your saved document, including words that are in the form of images.
How does Evernote make money? By charging $45 a year after your data storage gets enormous. If you save mostly text, this will not be a problem.
This is a great research tool. I hired a young man, 18 years old, who earned his bachelor's degree last December. He spent a total of $11,000 for college. He uses Evernote for research. He has produced a series of short screencast videos on how to get started with Evernote. They are here:
