Note: The books are in multiple formats. One is PDF. It was old PDF creation technology. The files are buggy. I should upgrade them someday with new PDF images, but that will costs thousands of dollar. So, it's unlikely. The other format is DjVu. It's great. But it doesn't work with Firefox on my site. It works with IE in most cases. Here is an exception. You may get a blank screen. The problem is at your end: IE settings. My son fixed mine.

There is a RESET button at the bottom of the Advanced options tab in IE7. [Tools>Internet Options>Advanced] It resets Internet Explorer settings. It "deletes all temporary files, disables browser add-ons, and resets all the changed settings." I use it as a last-ditch option when I can't IE to work as it should. Click the RESET button to reset your IE. Then you must download DjVu and other add-ons and plug-ins, which will be deleted by the reset.
