How Safe Do You Feel Where You Now Live?
Here are a some fundamental questions about where you live that most people refuse to ask themselves. It is a mistake not to ask. It is also a mistake not to follow through on the answers.
Do you live in a safe place? Is it likely to remain safe?Do you live in a place where you like the weather? If oil prices continue to rise, and energy costs rise, will you be able to afford heating and air conditioning? If not, what then?
Do you like the lifestyle in your city? Your neighborhood?
If there were an economic crisis, would you feel comfortable where you now live? If you were visibly doing well, while your neighbors are struggling, would they still regard you as a neighbor?
Is the community where you live really a community? Or is it a couch potato neighborhood, where nobody knows the name of the family two doors up or across the street?
If you had it to do all over again, and the geography of your employment were not a factor, would you live where you now live?
What about your closest relatives? How close are they geographically? If things got tough, would they be too far away? How often would you see them?
If things bump along economically, will your lifestyle continue to improve? If your income falls because of retirement, will your lifestyle improve?
It is a mistake not to ask. It is a bigger mistake not to make plans to change when the answers turn out to be negative.
People should compare what they have now with what they have dreamed about having. Then they should draw up plans to put themselves on track for their dream.
That's what this site helps you to do. Take a look at the departments under FOR MEMBERS ONLY. If you could get guidance in these areas, would it help you to make better plans? Once you make plans, would you benefit from Q&A forums?
