Go to this site. Look for the Malibu home that is for sale at $18,443 per square foot.
Here is one from my old home town.
Can you believe that?
I now realize that if my parents had kept their 900 square foot house, located two blocks from the ocean, it would probably be worth $2 million today.
The kind of madness that is revealed on this site is what we find at the tail end of a mania.
Obviously, there are many regions where the mania has not hit. I live in one of them. But for those of you in a mania region, I hope you get your homes on the market soon.
