Screencasts are simple to make. They are useful tools to get online help or offer it.

A screencast is a video of whatever is on your computer screen. You then narrate it. You can use the built-in microphone in your laptop. It's not much of a mic compared to this, but so what?

http://bit.ly/ATR3350 All I want you to do is make just one screencast. I want you to do this in the next five minutes.

Go here: http://screencast-o-matic.com

Either use the online version or the free download.

If you don't know what to do for a screencast, go to my site and verbally read the list of forums (on the right): http://garynorth.com Save it. Then view it. Post it on YouTube if you have an account.

Then use it every time you have a question about anything on your computer screen. The person you ask will see what you are trying to explain. Maybe he will give you an answer using a screencast.
