The distinction between your calling and your job is a theme I constantly return to.
Your calling is the most important thing you can do in which you would be most difficult to replace. Your job is how you put food on the table.
I have given two versions of my speech on job vs. calling at the Mises Institute. The first was aimed at college students. The second was aimed at scholars.
