I signed up. For $99 a year, I get free two-day shipping. I buy lots of used books. The shipping cost savings are welcome. I buy other items, too. The heavier they are, the more I appreciate Prime.
Note: sometimes I buy products that are sold by non-Amazon companies that are not located in my state. This way, I don't pay a sales tax. Sometimes this saving is better than free Amazon shipping. Amazon does charge sales tax.
I get free movies. I can view them on my TV screen or my computer screen. They offer a pretty good selection.

I do not recommend using the free photo storage service. Don't let Amazon lock you in. Once you have a lot of photos posted, you will not want to drop the program.
