Tax Revenues/GDP, USA: Federal, State, and Local
In the United States, the revenues collected by all levels of civil government in relation to GDP do not change much, year to year: about 35%.
The expenditures of the governments can increase through borrowing. But revenues long ago hit a ceiling. Taxpayers always find loopholes. Congress always creates loopholes.
