Lynda.com is the most profitable education site online. It offers screencast video instruction.

It usually costs $25/month. But your local library may have it for free.

If you are thinking of taking a course, and your local library offers Lynda.com, this is one way of taking the course.

It's probably best to take the first few lessons for free. Then, if you like the course, pay for it. Take it at home. You save on travel time. But a free "test drive" makes sense.

Someone sent me this as a follow-up:

You don't have to go to the library to use Lynda.

You can just sign in from your home computer using your library card.

Free learning -- at home.

Check with your library.
