Mattresses are getting cheaper.
I can remember paying $1,200 for a queen size mattress 25 years ago. The dollar bought a lot more 25 years ago.
The mattress was a good one. We used it until a few months ago, although not full time after 2004. It was in our guest room.
Recently, we bought a queen size mattress for $850. It replaced the old one. It feels fine. It is a non-spring mattress, a Leesa. It will outlive me. We rarely have overnight guests.
