The new team of website administrators for the White House website missed Trump's inaugural address. They were busy replacing Obama's website. Before his speech was over, his team had eliminated all traces of the global warming hype under Obama. Read about this here.
This was a symbolic action. Symbols matter a great deal. They convey information. Here is the message this action conveyed: "For the next four years and maybe eight, the President of the United States will do nothing to promote the global warming agenda."
The global warming movement has just hit a political glacier. This act of website revision coincided with the showing of the latest Al Gore documentary, An Inconvenient Sequel at the Sundance movie festival. Gore had assumed that he would have Hillary Clinton to help him get out the GWM's message. He and his financial backers spent all that money. For what? I call this inconvenient timing. He will get no support from the White House for the next four years.
For the GWM, this message is crucial: "The world is running out of time to deal with this looming catastrophe. Every day that we postpone action, we get closer to Armageddon."
Trump just extended the period of "postponed action" for four years.
For the next four years, the global warmers will be in the political wilderness. Meanwhile, nothing will get warmer, just as nothing has gotten warmer over the last 20 years. This is bad news for their agenda.
The global warming movement is committed to a fraud. There is no known connection between human actions and world temperature. This is the conclusion of over 31,000 scientists. But the GWM hucksters dismiss this information as "denial." They are correct. It is.
The GWM must now wait for four years to regain control of the White House. In short, they're fried.
The GWM has called for international action by governments to do something to reduce carbon emissions. Little has been done besides holding conferences that lead to public relations promises to do something Real Soon Now. For the next four years, even less will be done.
Without Trump's presence, there is no reason for the UN to call an international meeting on climate change. All he needs to do to torpedo the movement is nothing. You may have heard of the global warming hiatus. This will be a global warming conference hiatus.
There has been a steady cooling of the GWM. When a movement is based on "we must act now or else all is lost," and no government takes any meaningful action for 25 years, the sense of a looming catastrophe fades. The Kyoto Protocol was offered to the world in 1992. That treaty was a dead letter from day one. It died in 2012. It will not be resurrected.
Time is not on the side of the GWM. Every day that nothing is done, yet nothing bad happens, sends a message: "We can safely postpone action." This attitude is fatal for the GWM.
Trump has moved forward the deadline for action by another four years. Global warming was already on the back burner, and the burner just got turned off.
