If you ever need it, read it three times -- at least the second half. You must be well-informed to get the bill cut by two-thirds or three-quarters, which is possible. Maybe more.

When the people in the billing department know that you know how the game is played, they will begin negotiating.

If you need to get a lawyer involved, do so. But grill him first. Make sure he knows the lingo. At $250 an hour, you don't want to pay for his education.
