Joe Biden’s Million-Dollar Golf Expenses

Lest we forget.

It costs taxpayers $1,000,000 a year to pay for Joe Biden’s golf games.

He rides in comfort. How much comfort? This much.

It’s a Boeing C-32. It has a crew of 18.

I think it’s a bargain. Anything that keeps him away from the government is money well spent.

Imagine what the country would look like ten years from now if we could persuade Congress to spend $1,000,000 a year on each member’s time on the golf links. That would be $535 million, and no new legislation.

I’d go for $10 million a year. $20 million a year. You name it; I’d go for it.

Anyway, back to Joe Biden.

He flies to his golf links by helicopter every Friday. Then he hops on Air Force 2 to fly home to Delaware.

Newsmax reports:

During warm weather, Biden regularly returns to Andrews on the airplane on Saturdays to play golf at the Air Force base with President Obama. After the golf game, he flies back to Delaware and returns to Washington on the plane on Sunday evening — all at taxpayer expense.

The cost of flying Air Force 2 is $22,000 an hour. Then the Secret Service rents about two dozen condos in the Delaware area on weekends.

The thought of spending money to keep terrorists from kidnapping Biden to extract information from him is amusing. The guy can’t get his life’s story straight, let alone any secret that Obama may have shared with him.

Last June 13, Obama placed Biden in charge of a Campaign to Cut Waste, which will “hunt down and eliminate misspent tax dollars in every agency and department across the federal government,” according to the White House website.

In an email, Biden told supporters that he was the “new sheriff in town.” He said that “particularly at a time when we’re facing tough decisions about reducing our deficit, it’s a no-brainer to stop spending taxpayer dollars on things that benefit nobody.”

It’s business as usual in Washington.
