Mercy Ships
If you are looking for a good cause for a year-end donation, look at Mercy Ships.
I have supported the organization for years.
The ships sail into ports of impoverished countries. The medical care is excellent. These people are volunteers.
The program brings in local surgeons to observe and participate. The experience helps them to improve their skills. They, in turn, can teach their colleagues.
Then the ships sail out.
