Counteracting Ethanol Gunk

I very consistently use both a dose of Stabil and a dose of Stabil 360 Protection in my gasoline cans. Both stabilize the gasoline; Stabil 360 protects from ethanol damage. Maybe I don't need both. But I've cleaned carbs for friends and family due to no stabilizer use. It isn't fun to borrow a piece of equipment and discover that it just doesn't run because of carb gunk. So I use both -- consistently, every can of fuel. I have never had to clean out a carburetor for a piece of equipment that I own and bought new. If I bought it used, that means it ran properly when I got it (or the price was too good to pass up even with carb gunk). I discovered just how well fuel stabilizers work in large part because my first mower was a 2 cycle LawnBoy. I purchased LawnBoy 2 cycle oil, which also contained fuel stabilizer. I ran my 2 cycle string trimmer and 2 cycle chainsaw with the same gas. I never had carburetor issues. My string trimmer is 18 years old and still starts effortlessly. I rarely use my chainsaw any more, but it starts quite reliably when I need it. My snowblower, riding mower, rototillers, and push mower start without any problem each time I use them. The 18-year-old LawnBoy needs a new ignition coil, so it doesn't run at all. But last year before the coil went out, it started without any trouble. With Stabil, I don't worry so much about draining the gas tanks of equipment before winter since the fuel in the tank is stabilized. I have seen no difference since ethanol has been added to gas.
