I live my life in a basement office. I have lived most of my life in offices. I live in front of a computer screen except when I am reading a book.

I don't get outside much. This is not a good idea, I now learn.

A Scottish dermatologist has discovered that sunlight seems to reduce the odds of getting heart disease.

Statistics show that southern England has less heart disease than Glasgow.

He thinks it's because the Londoners have more sunlight during the year.

This is not a vitamin D issue. It's a nitric oxide issue.

There is a trade-off: less heart disease vs. more skin cancer. But heart disease kills 100 times more people.

Lesson: wear a broad hat when you work in the garden, but take it off for 30 minutes.
