Customer Service at 1dollarscan: "Please Go Away."
1dollarscan.com sells low-cost scanning services.
I attempted to run a test project: scan and convert one book into a PDF. I was ready to order more if the test worked. I never got to run the test. The order form was in Spanish.
I did what almost no disgruntled or stymied customer does. I produced a screencast showing the problem.
I received this reply.
Hi Gary,The link shows the PayPal account.
A Language at PayPal would depend on your setting or your pc environment.
There is nothing we could do.
For example, I have a PayPal account and when I placed an order and logged in my PayPal account, it is Japanese since I set up my PayPal with Japanese.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best Regards,
Akiko

I understand fully.
1. This company is small and unprofitable. It gets little traffic. Here is its Alexa ranking.![]()
2. It is dependent on PayPal.
3. I do not use PayPal. I registered once, over 15 years ago. I never use it.
4. I did not register in Spanish.
5. Akiko talks gibberish in English: "A Language at PayPal would depend on your setting or your pc environment." He is a techie. English is his third language after Japanese and techie.
6. Akiko thinks that because he signed up in Japanese, I must have set up my computer in Spanish. This, despite the fact that I created a screencast showing him that I cannot use the order form because it is in Spanish.
6. The company is not interested in getting sales from anyone who is in any way blocked by PayPal.
7. The company does not adequately train its customer service employees.
Tech companies are notoriously bad at customer service. They hire techies to solve customer service problems. These are the wrong people to hire to deal with the public.
