Price-Competitive Surgery
High quality surgery centers in Mexico, Latin America, and Asia offer services at far lower prices than most U.S. hospitals. Price competition is doing its work.
I am glad to see that this is spreading inside the United States. A site member posted this link this week:
NPR published a map in 2016 that shows comparative prices for medical costs, state by state.
Price competition works. But if health insurance companies do not actively demand price competition, costs will stay high.
There is an organization that reports on price-competitive medical care.
The deregulation of medicine would force prices down.
