I wonder what the real provost will get paid?

Do you know what a provost does? Neither do I.

But he is not alone. There are six vice provosts and associate provosts.

There is a diversity officer who gets paid $198,000 a year.

A marketing officer gets $253,000.

There are 16 deans. There are 11 vice presidents.

This is what government money does to education costs. Up, up, and away!]

Is there anything the average voter can do about this? No. This has been the direction that higher education has moved ever since 1946.

This is a cartel that is supported by the accrediting system. Every parent who asks, “Is this school accredited?” is subsidizing this bloat.

If you want to know why student debt is now over $900 billion, here is the place to look: government regulation, government funding, and parental ignorance.

Can a student earn an accredited degree for under $15,000? Yes. Do parents know this? No. Do universities tell parents of the options? No.

So, an acting provost earns $313,000.
