Start a WordPress.com Family Site
You took photos during the Christmas holidays. Where will you post them?
I have a suggestion: create a free WordPress.com site.
Make it a family site. Post old photos -- not all of them, but the 5% that are worth saving.
Post recollections of each photo. That will increase their value over time.
Post embedded YouTube videos. Post each video on a page where you provide background.
Over time, that site will become your legacy site for your children and grandchildren.
In 2005, our 30-year collection of family photos was burned in a fire. If they had been online, we would still have them.
