In my article on "Hillary Gets YouTubed," I used the example of www.snipurl.com/snort_outrage.
This shortened link leads to this article. You clicked it.
You need a link-shortener because long URLs cannot be accurately typed by most people. The longer the link, the more likely one error. One error will make the link useless.
www.snipurl.com is free. It's fast. It's easy to use. It works most of the time. Occasionally, the site goes down for five to ten minutes.
Here's how it works. I post a long link on the site. I give it a nickname. If someone else has not used the nickname, I secure it, permanently.
I also got this link: http://snipurl.com/1dn0h
I have my choice. Both lead to the same web page.
