The speed of contagion is incredible at a doubling rate of every three days.
The Washington Post has posted a series of graphics on the spread of the contagion under these scenarios: free-for all, quarantine, moderate distancing, extensive distancing.
The most effective policy is extensive distancing: governments closing public meeting places. The worst is free-for-all.
