What's holding you back? I asked that question in an issue of "Reality Check" last December. I was gratified to see one of the nation's supreme ad copywriters recommend it to his subscribers.
Before you can accurately answer this question, you need to ask yourself: "Back from what?" If you're not sure about this, then nothing in particular is holding you back. That's because you're not heading anywhere in particular.
Success manuals recommend taking inventory of your strengths. That's generally a useless exercise until you know what the inventory is for. The difference between inventory and clutter is having a specific purpose.
Once you establish a preliminary lifetime goal, you're in a position ask meaningful questions about your plan of action. You can apply and test preliminary answers.
I think people hesitate to ask questions about their plans because they lack a goal. They just drift along.
