I have long used a Logitech C920 as my webcam. I own two of them.
They are hard to buy today. The demand for online teleconferencing has depleted the supply.
There are other brands. Here is an evaluation of several of them.
Of course, your laptop's webcam may be good enough. Just make sure the webcam is at eye level.
I use a separate microphone. I recommend that you do too.
A good lavalier (lapel) mic is cheap. It plugs into your computer. I like the Fifine. It's $25.
Here is a tutorial video that helps you improve your presentation. Lighting is crucial.
If you do some planning, you will look good and sound good on Zoom and Skype. This will give you an advantage.
