You Can Get Out of Debt Without Declaring Bankruptcy.

Gary North

If you have finally decided to get out of debt, I'll help you do it. But debt addiction is like other addictions: there will be withdrawal symptoms. This will not be easy. You have to want debt freedom so much that you are willing to pay the price. Are you?

Consider the alternatives:

  • Dunning letters from creditors
  • Phone calls from bill collectors
  • Worry, day and night
  • Marital problems
  • A sense of failure
  • No satisfaction from what you own
  • Eventual bankruptcy
  • Eviction from your home
  • Embarrassment for years
  • Because they know you are in trouble, high-priced debt-consolidation companies are ready to lock you in for decades, lending money against whatever equity you have in hour home.

Even non-profit credit assistance organizations are suspect. There have been some major scandals in this field.

There are legitimate stalling techniques that you can use with creditors. Often, they are ready to deal. They want their money back, and they know if you're in too deep.

If you're ready to change, I'm ready to show you what to do. I cover this as part of my Budgeting for Wealth department.

But . . . I am asking you not to sign up for site membership with your credit card. Go to your bank and get a debit card. You must deposit money in your checking account before you can use the card to buy anything. Of course, I would like your money. Every seller would. But I'm not going to encourage you to get further into debt.

If you can't get a debit card, skip my site. Instead, go to Dave Ramsey's free site: www.daveramsey.com. The information there will help you.

Meanwhile, don't forget to subscribe to my free Tip of the Week report, which is sent every Saturday morning. The sign-up box is on the Home page.
