YouTube Now!
Jan. 5, 2007
It's time to post something on YouTube.
Why not post a selection of the highlights of your Christmas videos?
Will anyone view this? Not outside the family.
Will the video remain on-line forever? Forever is a long time, but your great-great grandkids will be able to view it -- not that they'll want to. ("Oh, no, not THAT again!")
Then why do this? To get started with video. Get started with something close at hand.
I would recommend a 5-minute selection. Don't make it over 10 minutes. Anything will do.
Once you get the hang of posting on YouTube, you may want to edit future videos. You can do this with your existing software. Mac users brag about this, but hardly any of them actually use it. Now is the time.
Windows users have Windows Movie Maker. I don't think most Windows users are aware of this. The program is quite good. For information, click here:

Once you post half a dozen videos, you will be skilled enough and confident enough to use YouTube to sell things, teach things, and share ideas.
Just one thing: please don't ask me to view your Christmas video. Instead, send me a link to your YouTube video ad for my site. I may wind up paying you $1,000. Details are here:
