What Do You Possess Today Which, If You Did Not Possess It Next Year, You Would Appreciate Most? (A Free Article)

You don't own family members, so don't list them. Just be thankful.
You are alive. If you are headed for death this year, there is not much you can do about it.
What else?
Money? How do you intend to keep it?
Job? How do you intend to keep it?
Calling? Are you sure what it is? If not, start here:
Success? Are you sure what it is? If not, start here:
We have seen men who, a year ago, were immensely wealthy and the heads of powerful corporations. Today, they are immensely wealthy, unemployed, and forever ridiculed as ex-masters of the universe who brought their companies to ruin or even oblivion. Success? It escaped them.
If you were asked to write down three things which, if you lost them, your life would be less satisfying, what would they be?
Why three? Because three big things are about all we can handle at one time. More than this distracts us.
Once you have these on paper, ask yourself: "Are these the things that I devote at least one hour a day defending? Do I take 20 minutes a day per item to insure that I still have them in a year?"
If not, you take them for granted. Why?
If not, you are under the domination of that great tyranny, the tyranny of the urgent.
Write them down today. This is a painful task. Do it anyway.
Then write down what you do daily to defend them. If you have a blank sheet of paper, write down what you had better do daily, beginning tomorrow.
