Byron Foulger and Dorothy Adams may have had the longest separate movie careers of any Hollywood couple.

They did not appear as a team. Hardly anyone knew who they were or that they were married to each other. They began in 1931 (her) and 1932 (him). He quit in 1970 because of death. She quit in 1975.

Her face was recognizable to moviegoers for four decades, but not her name.
