Obama Administration Pursues Secret International Proposal Inaugurated by Bush to Access Private Computers

This video is important. It reveals the existence of a secret agreement -- possibly with treaty status -- to allow governments the right to bring criminal penalties against file-sharing of copyrighted materials.

The secrecy surrounding this treaty/agreement is as great today as it was when the Bush Administration first proposed it. There is a blackout.

The story has been chronicled on Wiki.

The degree of secrecy is amazing.

There are skeptics who say there are no moves to unify the economies and currencies of Mexico, the United States, and Canada. They say: "Show us the proof of such machinations. Until then, we will not believe it." The same criticism applies to ACTA, yet we know it exists.

We are living in an era of international secrecy. The Web is our main tool of defense. It is a race between the destruction of privacy and the technology of decentralized communication.

I think the Web will win.
