College Costs: 40% of Students Entering a 4-Year College Fail to Graduate After 6 Years
July 13, 2009
Here is a report from the American Enterprise Institute, a Washington research organization: http://www.aei.org/paper/100019. It reveals that 40% of the families that send a child to a 4-year college lose all the money. The child does not graduate.
Also, because 4-year colleges take at least 5 years to get through, the actual cost before the kid flunks out or quits, defeated, is much higher.
To graduate under 60% of the freshmen takes 6 years.
Parents have no idea what a high-risk deal college is. They don't seem to care. They should. It's their money.
There is no reason to pay retail for college. I explain why here. The while thing can cost as little as $15,000. A student can work as McDonald's part time and pay for college.
