Take All Web Ads Off Your Screen With One Mouse Click

There is a simple way to get all advertisements off any Web article you view, with one click. It's called Readability. If this takes off, Google's marketing plan will suffer a major hit.

Readability is a free add-on for your toolbar, either Internet Explorer or Firefox.

When you come to a Web article that is cluttered with ads, click the Readability button on your toolbar. Presto: a screen pops up that looks like a PRINT screen, even if the site does not offer a print option.

Here is how you get Readability. First, you view the short video.

This video works well for Firefox. It's not sufficient for Internet Explorer. For a short video on IE, click here:

Then go here:

Once installed, the program works exactly as advertised. No more ads. Just text.

It is designed for articles, not portals filled with links to ad-cluttered articles.
