Country rights are basic to liberty. Yet people pay little attention to county government.
The county hires the sheriff. He is the barrier against the violation of sovereignty locally.
The county imposes the property tax. This tax is the source of control. Add more taxes at higher levels of government, and you lose control . . . and a lot of money.
There are 3141 counties in the United States. Most of them could be taken back from the tax maniacs who now are in control.
When conservatives finally figure out that the local county and the local court are the twin pillars of liberty, serious political reform will begin. Not before.
