Christian Truckers: The Largest Group of Christians With Jobs That Allow Time to Pray
Play a guessing game with me. How many full-time truckers are in the United States?
Come on. Guess.

If just 10% of these people are Christians, this is a potential army of prayer warriors.
They can drive and pray. They can listen to MP3's. If I had the time, I would produce seminary-level audio files aimed at them. I even secured a domain name: SeminaryOnWheels.com.
I plan to put all 30 volumes of my Economic Commentary on the Bible on MP3 files. That's not theology proper, but it is based on theology. It is practical.
If pastors would produce instructional audio materials aimed at truckers, they could train an army of well-informed people. These men are coming close to retirement age. I see them as the largest body of non-commissioned officers in the kingdom of God.
I recommend to every pastor that he produce a series of courses to fill drive time. Post them on any of a number of free podcasting sites. Here are a few:

Create a page on the church Website with the course titles listed. Click a link for a course. This takes the visitor to a list of lesson titles and links to the audio files. He can download them to his iPod and listen on the way to and from work.
Truckers can do the same.
I do not know of any ministry devoted to training truckers. If I were younger and had 20 years to do it, I would start one.
