Get a Cheap Emergency Cell Phone for Your Car

I am always forgetting my cell phone, even when I go on a long drive.

If I ever got in an emergency, I would want a cell phone.

I read a tip this week. Get a defunct cell phone. Don't connect it to a service. Charge it, turn it off, and keep it under your seat, where thieves don't look. Or, if you have an old car like mine, where thieves don't look, keep it in the glove compartment.

Every cell phone lets you call 911, even if you are not part of a service. You can buy the old analog ones cheap.
