Getting Started With WordPress
Jan. 29, 2011
So, you know you ought to start a WordPress site. But you have not done it yet. Why not?
Your career needs one. Your favorite cause needs one.
You can start one on WordPress.com. It's free. Once you get the hang of it, you can set up your own stand-alone site ($5 per month) with its own domain name ($10 per year). The WordPress software is free.
But you haven't done it yet. "One of these days."
On your deathbed, you'll say, "I shouldn't have spent so much time at the office. Instead, I should have set up a WordPress site at home."But. . . .
You don't like the frustration of learning new software.
You don't like putting your name on something that looks third rate.
You don't want to invest time in a dead end project.
You don't know where to get started.
Here's my suggestion. Start a family photo album site. It's free. It's easy.
Then, when you feel ready for your own site, download the free software at www.WordPress.org. Then spend $27 and get the best WordPress starter course out there.
Want more information? Here it is:
This course will give you better knowledge about how to draw traffic to your site than most professional site designers know about.
One of these days = today.
