I live with emails like the following, sent by strangers. But this one is choice. Here are images of the letter. He is replying to my department, I have posted a 650-page commentary on Luke. But he has a point. I did not explain these passages. There was a reason for this. Neither of them is in Luke. They are in Acts. I comment on them in my commentary on Acts. He goes on and on and on. He is incoherent. He is typical. I get lots of email tirades, though not usually with anything this silly. The poor schnook means well, but his letter does not inspire confidence. I have gotten used to this over the last 40 years or so. My critics -- the ones who send me emails -- are not well-informed. I suppose the better informed ones figure it's not worth their time telling me off. They are correct. Lots of people wander through life in an intellectual fog. This poor soul has. Yet they are convinced they can spare a piece of their minds. They spend their lives giving away pieces of their minds to strangers. I'll send him this article. I'll see what happens next. I got this email. No thanks. I much prefer making enemies.
YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT THIS HOWEVER--MANY VERSES IN THE OLD TESTAMENT, ESPECIALLY THOSE UNDER KING DAVID ( King David represents the "State" ) AND THOSE WHO CAME AFTER HIM ARE DEFINITELY ABOUT RUTHLESS, GODLESS, CAPITALISM. Plunder rights. And other garbage NOT APPLICABLE to the Christian Community from Jesus's time onward.
Did you blast too fast?
If you would be so kind, to retype my Luk for Acts, typo,
or better yet, stop making enemies for yourself.
thanks
