The Arkansas Governors' Diet: Clinton and Huckabee Show How They Lost Weight and Have Kept It Off
April 7, 2011
Bill Clinton and Mike Huckabee are probably the two most famous Americans who took off a lot of weight and have kept it off.
How did they do it? It takes self-discipline. It takes motivation. Both of them obviously have both characteristics.
If they can motivate people the way they were motivated, they can help millions of people. This would be serious bipartisanship.
I think they should collaborate.
Huckabee may have Presidential aspirations. That's a downside for Clinton's collaboration. But if it's clear that Huckabee really will not run, the site/book could be a winner. Maybe in 2013.
If they collaborated on a Website and a book, under the supervision of medical experts in weight loss, I think they could raise a lot of money for charities. Maybe food for hungry children. They could adopt a slogan: Lose Weight and Feed Hungry Children.
I have reserved the domain name: ArkansasGovernorsDiet.com. If they ever decide to do this, I'll give it to them.
I sent this to the Clinton Foundation yesterday. The low-salary person who received it sent me a canned response, as if I were asking for money rather than recommending a way for Clinton to raise money.
This is the problem of hiring low-level screeners who do not take the time to read the letters they are paid to screen. They screen out potentially good stuff. This is why well-funded organizations need to pay above-average salaries to screeners: to hire people with above-average judgment.
Deadline Extended: Donate by midnight April 11, and you'll be automatically entered to win a day with President Clinton in Little Rock this fall. Help support the Clinton Foundation now.
As I recall, I had removed the check mark: Send me the Clinton Foundation Newsletter. But maybe not.
Actually, the project that the letter was promoting looks good: to build a coffee roasting and packaging plant in Rwanda.
I have yet to hear from Huckabee's screener.
