How to Communicate Privately on This Site's Forums

If you want to reply to a comment on a forum, you have two options. The default is set to discussion board. It posts the reply on the forum. You can also reply privateky by email.

To contact a forum member privately by email, click Reply. You will see a box that says discussion board.

You can change this to via email. Just click the downward arrow. You will see an option for via email. Use your mouse to highlight it. It will turn blue. When you release the mouse, it will be set for email use.

Now when you post your reply, it will not be visible on the forum. It will be sent as an email.

Your email has your ID, which I hope is not your real name.

In the JOIN US sales page, I write this:

I think this is clear. Nevertheless, about a third of my subscribers use their real names.

You do not see real names on the forums. The people who participate on the forums prefer fake names. I don't blame them.

Sometimes I get a request to change a person's real name to a fake name. I send back the link (under Your Account) that allows this. The day a person goes for a fake name, he is ready to join in the forums.

The forums are for trading ideas. I see no reason why anyone should surrender his privacy.

Sadly, I realize that a lot of members never intended to get specific answers on the forums. So, they used their real names when they subscribed.

Maybe they would be willing to participate on the forums, but they don't want to identify themselves. I am inviting everyone to participate. I suggest that everyone who used his real name when he subscribed change his ID.
