Christians sometimes like to flaunt their ignorance. They rush in where angels fear to tread.
I got this email:
In the study of Physics there is that which has become to our understanding that the four fundamental forces of the Classical Physics would be unified into a single elemental force. The force of Gravity was demonstrated to be not a force but localized Space Time curvature. The Weak and Strong Nuclear Forcees have been demonstrably unified and it is said that they have also been unified with the Electromagnetic Force.
All of this seems to lead to an elegant...simplified...understanding of. our Physical Universe...NOT.
Likewise in the study of Economics there is also the school of thought that if a Grand Unification Theory of the Economic Forceses were to be affeted then the acamedicians would have and elegant...simplified...understanding of our Free Market Economy.
I find it somewhat amusing that the acamedicians vainly attempt to apply their simplified models of Economic Theory to the vastly complex Real World.
One must understand the TRUTH. IN NO WAY CAN ONE UNDERSTAND THE COMPLEX REAL WORLD WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE SIMPLIFIED THEORECTICAL MODELS.
But it just leaves me befuddled and bamboozled that these arrogant self absorbed acamedicians can acually believe that their simple models can describe the real world.
The simple models...ALL OF THEM including von Mises...are sadly deficient when attempting to accomplish the task.
This is something for everyones consideration
Jesus Christ is Lord. God bless you and may you be at peace. Stop getting angry and learn to laugh at it.
It is actually just a temporal comedy.
Yes, it is incoherent. Why a stranger sent me this letter, I do not know.
It really depresses me that there are people out there who have nothing to say, and who will not stop saying it.
I responded: "You can't beat something with nothing. Where is your developed alternative? Please send a link."
I got this reply:
I have not an alternative. I was just pointing out the fallacy of the aplication of the simple to the complex. You ridiculed the idea in one of your articles...a book titled Economics...filled with Math...and incoherent.
I was merely supporting your point.
He had raged: "One must understand the TRUTH. IN NO WAY CAN ONE UNDERSTAND THE COMPLEX REAL WORLD WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE SIMPLIFIED THEORECTICAL MODELS."
So, where is his model? He has none.
Then he gave me advice. "Stop getting angry and learn to laugh at it."
Why do these poor souls think I want or need their advice? Why do they think I will pay any attention to them, other than to write an article like this one.
Christians are not taken seriously in academia. The reasons for this are not all bad.
