Cut Dental Bills
March 12, 2012
Dental bills are a big expense for some families.
In my case, this is a minimal expense. My teeth seem impervious to cavities. I have 3 fillings, and the most recent was 35 years ago. I have never done anything special to take care of my teeth. I rarely go to the dentist.
Do what I say, not what I do.
I am impressed with dentist Ellie Phillips' strategy in her book, KISS YOUR DENTIST GOODBYE -- a truly great marketing title.
She is a big fan of xylitol, an artificial sweetener that strengthens teeth.
She has a web site: www.drellie.com.
To see what she recommends, go here:
She says that dry mouth is really bad for teeth. So, if you breathe through your mouth at night, you have a big problem. That would seem to be a case for those nose strips that open up nasal passages, but she does not mention this.
She is not big on flossing. That makes her unique. I figure I can floss, too.
Her site is filled with testimonials.
Be sure you do not swallow the fluoride mouth rinse or the Crest toothpaste.
Tell your children to rinse and spit.
