Acts: Sacrifice and Dominion
Sacrifice and Dominion is my economic commentary on the Book of Acts. It covers the crucial issue of common property in the Jerusalem church.
The far Left has appealed back to the Book of Acts for four hundred years. They call for state-imposed equality. The Jerusalem church was voluntary. Also, no other early church imitated the common property system in Jerusalem. There was a reason for this: they did not face imminent persecution.
Here, I cover these topics: Common Ownership, Better Than Money, Abandoning Real Estate, In Defense of Private Property, The Diaconate, Things That Money Cannot Buy, Churches That Share, Occupation and Calling, and the Joy of Giving.
